It Can't Be Normal....
For a 2-year-old to properly use the word "also."
But then....Zoe *is* almost 3, and I'm sure our kids are far from normal anyway.
Sascha has been asking about evolution again ("Where did the first person come from?"), so I finally tried to explain how humans evolved. I thought I was thorough and avoided most of the inaccuracies that many people believe (we are "descended from monkeys", for example. Not so. Humans and monkeys have a common ancestor in the fairly recent past, which is not the same as saying we're just a breath away from being chimps.).
Of course, two days later, she asked me where the first *monkey* came from.
So I got online and found a couple of good books. They should show up soon.
I also tried to explain nearsightedness to her, using the basic principles of optics. But since I don't remember optics really well (some stuff just falls right out of my head...I like physics, I just can't retain it), I'm sure she has some bizarre concept of how people's eyes worsen. Oh well.
